The best way to spread Christmas cheer...
...is singing loud for all to hear! I love Elf...
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas, I myself have eaten so much food I think I've put on roughly three stone (classy Mags).
After working Christmas day (boo, hiss) I came home to a few large glasses of wine and a game of Scrabble with the fambo - Q massive arguments, oh my.
Boxing day has been spent eating SO MUCH CHOCOLATE.
Breakfast, brunch, elevensies, lunch, after dinner snack, dinner, general snacks, supper, basically any mealtime I could possibly think of has been satisfied through mountains of chocolate. This, I could get used to.
shirt: primark mens jumper: charity shop skirt: internacionale shoes & bag: charity shop
The skirt is a beautiful bright coral colour, unfortunately this hasn't shown well in photographs!
This is my boxing day outfit (ladylike, huh?)
The collar on my shirt would make Wednesday Addams proud.

I truly love these shoes, and bought them at an absolute SNIP of £3 although they are ridiculously high and really I can't walk in them with any sense of grace or elegance. (especially following a g&t ... or ten)

I could never be with someone who has a boat.
- You've Got Mail (1998)
This is a very short little post as spare time is simply non-existent in the run up to Christmas (3 days!)
I got these little beauties in the post this morning and couldn't wait to show them off, unfortunately it hasn't stopped raining for about 3 days so they'll have to wait for their outdoor debut...
bag: new look green beauties: everything5pounds.com
Apologies for my incredibly pale skin... it's been a while since these feet seen any sun (cry!) but how lovely are these shoes?
My favourite style, a slipper you can wear outside (when the rain stops).

My life is good. Real good.
- Nacho Libre (2006)
My friend Joan and I hit Smiling Jacks last night for mexican, margaritas, and early Crimbo presents. This is an evening I could definitely get used to.
We had a 'Nacho Sampler' to start hence the title of this post (see what I did there?!) but as we were starving we dived right in and forgot all about photos. You'll just have to take my word and pay a visit!
I am far from a food connoisseur (out of date milk? smells fine) but honestly, that MASSIVE quesadilla you see there? delicious!
Scotland in December demands chunky knits. I am quite happy to oblige as my wardrobe is just full of jumpers - I'd literally wear a jumper every day if I could get away with it.
shirt: h&m jumper: george at asda necklace: poundland! (can you believe it?!)
boots: everything5pounds.com (guess how much £, go on, guess!)
jeans: new look bag: charity shop
in case you can't tell, i love a bargain.
Stirling really is quite pretty at Christmas time:

And I am here for the food.
- The Muppets Christmas Carol (1992)
I would happily argue this is Michael Caine's best film. The Great Gonzo's narration never fails to bring a massive cheesy smile to my face... ahhh!
Since moving away from my University city (graduate life: boohoo!) I don't often get to see my wonderful friends I 'studied' with. Social networking and phonecalls can only do so much, a Christmas card complete with santa stamp on the other hand? Whole new level of happiness!
This was sent to me by the wonderful Alex!
I'm definitely getting in the Christmas spirit now, I hope you are too!

Sightseers
Being an English graduate, I am ashamed to admit how long it took me to type the title of this blog. Sightsee-ers? Sightseers? ... night - mare.
As a cinema usher (and devotee, ahem) it's my job to 'know' about films, i.e watch them. So this week, amongst a pile of coursework I am continually ignoring, I watched Sightseers:
(Image: Sightseers Blog)
Scripted by stars Alice Lowe & Steve Oram (who, by the way, are terrifying and brilliant) and directed by the amazingly black humoured Ben Wheatley, this film is an absolute gem.
Bizarrely finding myself laughing away at on screen murder is a situation I'm rarely in. Go see it, and laugh like a crazy person too.
(Although saying that, I will never relax on a campsite/caravan holiday again. It's always the quiet ones, isn't it?)

Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.
- It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
Christmas is coming! In fact, Christmas is only 15 days away... I should really get cracking with that shopping list. Have you started?
To get in the festive spirit, the boy and I spent our date night in the village of Falkland, with a visit to the wonderful Fayre Earth Gift Shop amongst a few other crafty village shops!
(picture heavy)
Our date night was finished off by a few drinks in the local, right by the Christmas tree!
Now... where are those mince pies?

If we wanted applause, we'd have joined the circus.
I met up with a friend recently and we sauntered off to see Argo (fiiiinally). I have to be honest, it didn’t live up to much. Essentially I found the story very interesting (definitely gonna snoop out some more info on that one) but the film as a whole fell a bit flat.
Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston and the wonder that is John Goodman, were fantastic. Love me a bit of John Goodman.
I mean this in the nicest possible way, but does Mr. Affleck have any other facial expressions than ‘serious’ ?
See below...
Mix it up, man!
It has started snowing here in Scotland, which has got me really upset as I have a lovely pair of berry red suede (rhymin'... almost) shoes I haven't yet had the chance to air.
Time to find nice wellies?!
